HARASSMENT (Wanaque)

All students, faculty, staff and administrators at the College have the right to expect a safe work environment.  Harassment is any action that may reasonably be expected to threaten, coerce or intimidate an individual or a class of individuals.  Where the alleged harassment involves a potential violation of federal or state anti-discrimination laws, the College’s affirmative action officer may be called upon to investigate the allegations, using procedures approximating those outlined in the College’s “Sexual Harassment Policy”.  However, nothing contained in this policy shall be construed either to limit the legitimate exercise of the right of free speech or to infringe upon the academic freedom of any member of the College community.

Any employee who considers himself/herself to be a victim of harassment is advised to contact the Vice President for Human Resources at 973-684-6108.

A student who considers himself/herself to be a victim of harassment is advised to contact the Dean of Students at 973-684-6919, or alternatively, the Dean of Evening Administration/Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at 973-684-5651.
