Eligibility Requirements


The Educational Opportunity Fund is open to New Jersey residents who have a high school diploma or its equivalent. You must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the program.

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen or hold a Permanent Visa Card.
  • You must be a New Jersey resident for at least one year.
  • You must be a full-time student (12 credits or more)
  • You must demonstrate financial and academic need within the EOF guidelines.

EOF Admission Requirements


Students living with parents at the time they apply (dependent students) must also submit a copy of their parents’ most recent W-2 statement of wage earnings and income tax return.


Students will not be considered for admission as an EOF student until all required information has been received, all proper forms filed, and an interview is conducted. Notification of status will be sent by the EOF Admissions Counselor.


In order to qualify for the program, applicants must meet both the academic and financial criteria as mandated by the State of New Jersey. Students who are accepted will be required to participate in developmental and academic enrichment services offered.
