In the near future, as a result of an initiative by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), all medical files in the United States will be created and stored electronically. The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics anticipates the need for 51,000 Health IT workers over the next 5 years.
Certificates being offered in
- Implementation, Technical and Software Support for Electronic Health Records
- Workflow Redesign and Information Management for Electronic Health Records
- Trainer in Electronic Health Records
Upon successfully completing one of the certificates listed above you will be eligible to sit for the HITPro Competency Exam.
** AHIMA credentialed professionals earn 20 CEUs per completion of one of the HITECH training programs. Candidates who take and pass a HIT Pro exam will also get 5 CEUs per exam passed.**
