Who is eligible?

To be eligible students must:

• Attend PS#6, PS#10, Eastside H.S., JFK H.S. or any of the Academies in the Paterson Public School District.
• Be eligible for free or reduced lunch.
• Be motivated and committed to preparing for college.
• Be in the 6th-12 grades.

Admission Process

Submit the following documents to the SMT College Bound/GEAR UP office at PCCC.

1. Completed SMT College Bound/GEAR UP application (PDF)
2. Letter of recommendation from Teacher or Guidance Counselor
3. Copy of your Social Security Card
4. Letter from your school stating whether or not you are eligible for the federal free/reduced lunch program.

Once all documents are received, PCCC will contact you for an interview with you and your parent/guardian.
