The Passaic County Community College Public Safety Academy (PSA) offers state-of-the-art training and facilities for fire fighting and emergency medical personnel.
The PSA facility includes:
- state-of-the art classrooms
- labs and computer rooms,
- a 174-seat auditorium,
- the latest technology in fire training including an indoor fire-training center and Simulator or burn building.
The PSA is home for firefighter training for Passaic County as well as the Office of Emergency Management. PSA also serves first responder training needs, particularly for the volunteer fire and EMT squads throughout Passaic County.
PCCC offers degree and certificate programs in criminal justice, fire science, and emergency response. Non-credit continuing education courses offered at the Public Safety Academy include Emergency Medical Technician, Fire Inspector and Fire Official courses, Uniform Construction Code courses, and Commercial Driver License Training.
